cheapest full-quality way to record PS2 on PC

PJemus

I am making a new YouTube series called 'nostalgia night' (i have taken the name from sidestrafe) and i plan on playing some old, nostalgic games and recording them for youtube.

I was looking for capture cards, but capture cards for PS2 seem to be very hard to find information about. I dont want to get an emulator, because that will require setting up my PS3 controller for the PC (which i have done before but never wish to repeat again due to the stress and frustration it caused).

I have seen capture cards like the EasyCAP compared to HD PVRs and the quality difference is a lot. although, PS2 is not a HD platform (mainly), so i don't think it is necessary to spend $200 on a HD capture card to record SD.

I also had a look at some TV tuners because they kept coming up in my searches. I didnt think you could record PS2 with TV tuners but i may be wrong. I have a laptop at the moment, but i have a test PC that has AGP and PCI (i also have one with PCIe but something in it doesnt work). so i could possibly get a TV tuner.

What i want to know is, what is the cheapest capture card that i can use to record PS2 at standard definition, 16:9, 30fps or higher, that records video that is as high-quality as a PS2 (so that the average person couldnt tell the difference between my capture device and an HD PVR)?

The PS3 controller isn't that hard, it just fails to tell you the final step or that the final step takes complete control of your Bluetooth dongle, but I totally understand, it took me 2 hours to figure out the last step which for me was to go into my devices and and change the bluetooth driver from the default windows driver to the Motioninjoy driver, good times.

Alright, so what's your ideal price?
Edit:Also I feel this is more Photo/Video than general discussion.

Why do you always die right after I fix you?

you could get a Easycap VERY cheap on ebay or a dazzle. those are for only if your recording with the simple yellow video output, if you have the green red blue cords for PS2 you can try using something like a HD PVR or a modern Elgato card

a good cheap video recorder I used to use like 5 years ago that records the yellow video output is called the Diamond VC500 One Touch Capture.... it is pretty good for the price. I got mine for like $40

INTEL CORE I3 4130 | EVGA Nvidia GTX 750 Ti | CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 | COOLERMASTER HAF 912 | ASUS H81M-C/CSM LGA 1150

Easycap is definitely the cheapest. Although the correct drivers can sometimes be an issue b/c for some reason there are about 20 different knock off versions...

While I don't advocate piracy in any way, I do here you can record off of the PS2 emulator. That said, if it has to be hardware, you could go Elgato if you want to be able to capture from newer systems.
