Upgrade to gtx980 with SLI

lyndon1125

Hi, i was wondering if you guys can give me some insight on what I'm planning to do for my system. As of now, my system build is this http://au.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
I am using mainly for gaming such as Far Cry 3 or Crysis 2. As well as I plan on water cooling my system. If you guys can give me an estimate on the water cooling for both the
GPU and CPU that'd be awesome. I also want to upgrade my cpu to a i7 4790K. My budget right now is $2500-$2800. If it is possible to get it done by that price range please tell

me the components. I plan on getting this done by Nov. 20 so the price range can change as needed. Almost forgot, i live in canada for price checks.

970 sli for 660$ US. Best price/performance set up in the world currently.

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

sorry here i think this will work http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/gJPjvK

As brob said~ why the Australian price?

As for your current rig, if you already have an i5 4690, why do you want to switch to an i7 4790k?

Switching to 2 980 will be easy with this rig since everything is already in place, so you only need about 1100$ to make that upgrade.

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log
