Thin and cool laptops for ~$700?

I have realized that my 2012 MSI GE60 is not a good fit for me. I've had this laptop for 2 years and it has gotten me into PC gaming and even the desktop scene, but I need a replacement for it. It can't even play the games that I had hoped it to play, so having a graphics card is useless to me and I would much rather have something that is thin and cool and is around $700 USD.

 

Here's a basic list of what I need:

  • A decent processor so I can play Source games with the integrated graphics.
  • Something that is thin.
  • A decent screen (900p to 1080p) with an IPS display.
  • A nice keyboard
  • Good cooling that doesn't char my leg skin.

One of those maybe, me mums got the 15.6 variant of it and its got really like build quality, its not really think, i think you can get thinner im not sure yet.

the op said 900-1080, 1600x900 fits that, yes it is big.

 

Its hard for me to find stuff as im in the uk.

it's still low resolution because that's a 17 inch.

ZetZet has the right idea, if the laptop is small then 1600x900 is acceptable.

Resolution stays the same, a 1080p 30inch monitor has the same resolution as a 1080p 20inch monitor, the pixel density differs though.

 

Thin and light is hard to get for around that price, sadly.
