My friends brother is super hyped for it. IDC really. It might suck, it might not.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I wasn't going to but now I wont even consider it seeing as it apparently needs 6GB of VRAM for ultra.

Inb4 unoptimised disappointment.

The 6gb requirement is only for some dumb unoptimized downloadable texture pack. the base game requires 3gb on the max settings. The whole 'zomg 6gb requirement!' crap about this game is hyperbole. Its like one of those vram hogging skyrim texture mods, only offered as a download from the developer :P

I'll definitely be waiting for reviews/benchmarks on the pc version before considering getting it though.

Nope, 6GB VRAM unoptimized requirement ruined it for me along side the gameplay which looks lackluster and easy.

The point is, its an optional texture pack, not even part of the base game. If you think the game looks lackluster and easy thats a perfectly valid reason to not like it, but this whole drama about the '6gb requirement' is completely ridiculous.

I'm interested in that game. And it seems to be a pretty decent PC port.

But I have quite a few games on my to play list at the moment and I've kind of burned myself out with Arkham and AC games so the only draw if the game would be the nemesis system. And I don't want to stop playing in the middle because I'm tired of that style of game.

This will be the next game I will pick up when I'm looking for something to play but not at the moment.

Just got done downloading and played for about 45 min, great so far. Able to use max setting with 75 avg fps with the new 970.

Also what is this ultra pack I hear about, if my settings are on ultra is it not the best ultra?

Without the texture pack (which isn't released yet), ultra looks the same as high textures.

In any case, it looks like the ultra texture pack is specifically targeted for 4k anyway (at least I've seen some people claiming this: http://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/2hvqdu/wtf_is_middleearth_shadow_of_mordor/ckwkbny

so all of this 'zomg 6gb vram' drama has been about an optional 4k texture pack :P

Still, 3GB for High Textures is a bit much, especially considering they don't look particularly great.

Would love to get the game at release. But due to the season pass bullsh1t. I'll wait a year.

Test ideas by experiment and observation; build on those ideas that pass the test, reject the ones that fail; follow the evidence wherever it leads and question everything.

That's smart that's about the time the game will actually be playable after you let the early adopters work out the kinks for you LOL.
