PS4/Xbox One in Windows (possible with capture card?)

Schroeder

Hey!,

I have a really shitty television, but a good monitor. However, it only supports display port 1.2 (ROG Swift), so I was wondering if it's possible to use a capture card to play PS4 or Xbox One games "in windows"? (I am not looking to record or broadcast).

If so, is there any noticable input lag? Is the quality good? What would you recommend?

All of this because they refuse to release the last of us remastered on PC....

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

If the recording software has a fullscreen mode, possibly right?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

If you do get an HDMI to display port adapter please tell me how well it works with this monitor...

Thanks for the replies, I did some further digging and found that the input lag could be as severe as 2 seconds (not sure if all hardware is like that), so I guess I'll try an DP->HDMI adapter.

I'll post how it works with the Swift!
