Asus z97 mATX SLI Board

Go to solution Solved by jezza39,

Not even the Gene has the M2/Wifi combo any more, BUT the Maximus VII Gene has a mini PCIe slot up the top of the motherboard, so if you can find an mPCI-e wifi card, it will fit.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to downsize my current rig and go with an mATX build in a Corsair 350d. I am currently searching for ASUS mATX z97 motherboards that will support SLI along with an ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter.

The Gryphon z97 mATX board looks promising, although it looks like the PCIE-1 slot will get covered by a graphics card.

Are there any mATX z97 boards that include built-in WiFi OR have a free PCIE-1 slot along with SLI support? Or am I going to have to get a USB wireless networking solution until I have the option for direct ethernet?

Please no recommendations for other form-factors/chipsets.

Thanks!!

But the second GPU will cover the slot. Read the original post, please.

Really? The second GPU will cover the mPCIe slot that is in the top left corner of the board?
