Should I get Destiny for PS3?

VG Docs

I have an Xbox 360 and a PS3. As far as I've seen (Frame rate tests, graphical comparisons), the PS3 version of Destiny seems to be the least graphically impressive version, although the frame rate at least consistent for the most part. Should I get Destiny for the PS3, or is it just not a good experience in comparison to 8th gen consoles?

Also, I don't want it for the 360 only because I don't have Xbox live gold, nor can I maintain it if I were to get it for a while.

(Get it for pc if/when it comes out instead)

I've heard the game sucked, but I'd go for ps3 as you don't have to pay to play online. (At least you didn't have to last I heard)

I've seen the game looking like complete shit on the last-gen consoles.

Don't.

If you're a console gamer, invest in the "next-gen" consoles.

I'd rather build a PC but...

Have you ever played a Korean MMO?

I don't think so, but I was going to play Dragon Ball Online at one point.

shitty on console is different though....

Ratchet and Clank, which runs at 720p looks pretty good on a ps3--but that could just be becuase there are no pc versions.

Then I would say no, don't buy it.

Really? It looks like an MMO version of Borderlands, with less humor and different art style to me. Is it nothing like what I'm thinking?

no, it's too much like a Korean MMO from what I've heard, so if it's not what you're in to you should probably stay away.

Get whatever version your friends play. Destiny is a very fun game. I've been playing the hell out of it. It's an mmo your of game which usually means it'll get more and more fleshed out as the community grows around it. These types of games almost always have growing pains. The gun play is addicting and the quest for lot is even more addicting. Who cares if a pc version would be better.... It's not on pc so suck it up.

It's an alright game, Think of it like halo or cod (mediocre single player/story) but with mmo elements, and good multiplayer. The PS3 version looks pretty terrible but its completely playable and runs smooth, I don't know if the deal is still going on but when I bought the game you could upgrade to the PS4 version for free till Jan 2015.  I bought and played the PS3 version with my older Xim Edge keyboard and mouse adapter, while I waited for my New Xim4 one which works with the PS4 to come in the mail.  All in all the games pretty good, and I would expect it to get a lot better in the future, I'm sure Bungie is listening to all the player feed back, if not there's no way this game is going to reach 10 years like they have planned.

Sounds pretty good to me actually. Keep in mind though, I won't be able to get a PS4 any time soon, so with that in mind - still recommend it for PS3?

If graphics aren't everything to you then you may find the game fun, but that will depend entirely on your taste in games.  Just watch some youtube videos if you think you'll like the game based on what your watching you'll probably enjoy it.

Okay, thanks. I probably will end up getting it, I've been watching Rooster Teeth play, probably seen like 3 hours worth of content. It definitely does interest me.
