Making a case from scratch

Hello, as the title says, I want to make my own PC case. I couldn´t find "the case" and I know a lot of people does this, so I decided to make a custom one.

This is what would be inside of it:

Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO

Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5"

Samsung 850 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card

And here is a little sketch (Paint FTW)

I want to know which materials you would use for this, and I want to see your ideas about the airflow. I also want to know what's the best way to get the USB and audio ports up there.
(BTW I used paint because I am short of time and this is just an idea)

Thanks!

This is basically the exact same thing as this caselabs case:

Also don't get a WD black. Just get a seagate barracuda and a 500GB instead of 250GB SSD.

Oh, and there are better options than the H100i, unless you REALLY want corsair link control for your AiO.

NEW PC build: Blank Heaven   minimalist white and black PC     Old S340 build log "White Heaven"        The "LIGHTCANON" flashlight build log        Project AntiRoll (prototype)        Custom speaker project

Spoiler

Ryzen 3950X | AMD Vega Frontier Edition | ASUS X570 Pro WS | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB | NZXT H500 | Seasonic Prime Fanless TX-700 | Custom loop | Coolermaster SK630 White | Logitech MX Master 2S | Samsung 980 Pro 1TB + 970 Pro 512GB | Samsung 58" 4k TV | Scarlett 2i4 | 2x AT2020

Well, that case is not what I'm looking for...

About the Storage: thanks!

About the AIO: could you reccommend one please?

Ok

If you can fit it, the kraken x61 (280mm) performs the best.

I you can only fit a 240mm rad, then get the H105 which is thicker and will get you a couple degrees lower (and its a bit quieter too)

What material will you be using?

Also if the left side panel and the floor of the top chamber are attached to each other, won't that be a nightmare to disassemble and clean?

Choosing a material will depend on what you'd want your case to look like, and also, what manufacturing technique you'd like to use. Out of all the materials for custom cases, acrylic may be the most versatile: It's transparent, you can cut it, you can saw it, you can drill it, you can mill it, you can bend it, you can engrave it, and you can laser cut it.

I went with MDF because it's cheap and I'm poor people.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Best options for material.

1. metal sheets and rivits (also get metal corners etc to hold the structure.

2. use acrylic içt is versatile and you can make it any color you want easy with no special steps + you can use designs to spray over and let the light come thru.

3. MDF or some type of wood recommended around 8-9mm and up for the support walls like most of them and for the non heavy parts you can use thinner.

just like manwithbeard i went for my case with mdf since you can do great things with it and works very easy by hand unless you got special machines.

4. where  live you can go to the shop and get the wood they will cut it for free the right size you need so thats also a point that drove me to the mdf i only had to assemble it and cut the holes i need.

Thanks, you people helped me, but I'd really like to get an answer about the airflow and the USB/Audio ports. Every case has those ports in the front, but I don't know any place to find those.

airflow no problem the key to this is "less is more" avoid big parts blocking air for other parts arrange them so they all line up in the airflow and block the least possible air for other components.

usb ports you can find them in most hardware shops or get a very cheap usb hub take the cover off and drill the holes in the case then you have to connect only 1 port on the mobo and get 4 ports in return easy peazy.
