My folding has broken in a strange way.

I've been testing some gtx 480's for the past couple of days, so i didn't open the folding client at all. i've put my 7970 back in and now its come up like this. it wont let me do anything and it isn't folding. i've tried rebooting 3 times but it hasn't worked. any ideas on how i can fix this?

first thing that pops into my mind.. you opened the web client first right? because folding refuses to start otherwise, need to start it from the folding@home icon and not the fahControl directly.

remove everything from the slot tab in config, close F@H and reopen it, and the program should automatically add your gpu(s) and cpu by default again. if that don't work i dunno.

uninstall and check the 'data' box during uninstallation, then reinstall?

doesn't take more than a minute, just remember your passkey (can't remember if you can get the exact passkey emailed to you again or not...)

it is a shame but is to be expected when you are experimenting with different gpu's, to me it sounded like you weren't able to connect to stanford and activate your client in the first place, i was about to suggest a reinstall as that might solve it, but thought it was being caused by something else. All is good as long as you got it working.
