how to change resolution on tv with duplicate monitors?

hi i was wondering how i can change my resolution on my tv because on my tv its cut off since its following the same display as my computer screen. So i was wondering if u can change the tv screen resolution without changing the resolution on my computer screen

If you duplicating your displays I'm pretty sure that you can't have different resolutions on each of the displays, because your TV is exactly duplicating your display.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

If your system supports it: You can extend your desktop instead. It will create two separate desktops and they can run at resolutions independent of each others'.
