Using all SSD's, separate drive for a boot drive...?

Install windows on the SSD you want as a boot drive, then in windows it self use disk management to format the SSDs

Not sure how I wanted to word my question, but I'm looking to use all SSD's in my next build, however, I want to use one as a boot drive.

What's the best way to go about this in a ELI5 way. I've only ever used 1 HHD before, and my personal reasoning behind using a separate boot drive in a system that will be all SSD is that should my information drive fail, I can replace it without having to install my operating system over again. It's a personal preference and doesn't really matter beyond that. If using an SSD as a boot drive would result in any loss (note loss, not missing out on extra/better) of performance over a Raid0 config I may bite the bullet and go with that instead.
