if you go to that much effort to conceal some small cables, you will put the effort of putting each cable into the mobo xD

Exactly why I don't use it.

while i like those, there are better ones where the cables are attached and you plug in the front panel ones behind the mobo tray

I don't know if it counts as a gadget, but those plastic-metal cable tie thingies that usually come with cables are crazy useful!

This is my favorite gadget! A ide/sata -> usb cable!

I comes with a molex/sata power cord that you plug into the wall as well (the one I bought).

I use it to install OS, or if my OS HDD dies, I can hook up my storage HDD to a laptop and access my iso files if I don't got any OS dvd/usb stick.

USB extender cables, bring the ports to your finger tips, so to speak, just pick the right length for your needs.

How "small" do these tech gadgets have to be? One of my favorite gadgets is definitely portable battery packs (battery banks, or whatever you want to call them). They have gotten me out of a pinch so many times. They come in loads of sizes and range from capacities that are just a quick top up, to charging multiple devices a few times over. I have an Anker Astro 2nd gen 6400mAh for everyday use and the new Cheero 12000mAh as a hefty backup

My favorite gadget is a USB extender. Stupid phone chargers are so damn short now days. How am I supposed to use my phone in bed?

I never understood why people got so worked up about plugging in the front I/O connectors. Not only is it usually labeled on the mobo itself, but it takes a whole 2 minutes to plug them in by looking at the mobo manual. All those extenders do is make cable managing worse imo. never used one, don't plan on it
