Building new system, Can I keep my SSD?

toberkulosis

So I just built an awesome gaming rig and all of my files are on my ssd atm, but I'm about to sell it to a buddy of mine and was wondering if I could keep the ssd?
The Rig is currently an ATX 990FX (8350 on crosshair v) with an r9 290 and I'm going to build a micro ITX with an i5 and an r9 285. Obviously drivers wouldnt work so I'd assume i need to uninstal them but what else would I have to do? Personally, I'd perfer if I could keep all my downloaded games installed i.e., my steam games, LoL, SC etc as my appartment complex internet speeds are really terrible (like 200kb/s download terrible). Otherwise I don't mind selling it all but I was wondering if I could do this.

Thanks,

-TB

Just format the ssd and reinstall windows on it, beware that when formating the ssd just quick format it and not full formating

You can keep the SSD. You might need to format it if you're going to swap out the motherboard though but you're at least going to have to reinstall the drivers but other than that there is no issue whatsoever.

Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Transfer all the files to a hard drive or something and reinstall windows on the ssd and drag all the files back onto the ssd. That's what I would do but there might be a better option.
