r9 270x vs hd7950

sailingdutchman

While looking for a graphics card for the pc i'm planning to build i found out that the SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB with Boost and  SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 270X 2GB OC where around the same price (i live in the netherlands). unfortunatly i couldn't find any good benchmarks so i was wondering which card was better.

I will be using this card for gaming (bf4 maybe watch dogs, not sure yet) and maybe some rendering.

I would be happy someone could help me out.

The R9 270x because it's the latest

HD7950 is old

7950 is the same as an R9 280. 270x is the same as a 7870. I would go with the 7950, it will perform better. Plus 3 gigs of RAM is nice as opposed to 2.

I'm that guy with the GPD Win.

The 7950 will not be faster at stock clocks, it might even be a bit slower. But it will overclock to significantly higher performance levels than the 270X.
