I'm looking for suggestions on a good quality desk mic for use on teamspeak etc, the one i have is a bit "tinny".

Yeti, AT2020, Snowball. Those are the best options for a budget really.

I like my the tbone sc440. looks great and has good sound for the price + its a usb microphone, so you wont need a mixer

I'd recommend the AT2020 over the Yeti, I have a Yeti and I wish I would have gotten an AT2020.

Cant really afford or justify £50 for a microphone to be honest its just for gaming, is there not a middle ground mice between shit ones and the blue microphones?

No, because you have to switch technology to get better sound and that doesn't come cheap. If you really can't afford it then just get the zalman clip-on, with proper adjustments it's really not bad.

You can import a modmic from the US. Not sure how much that'll come to though. It'll probably be around $60 USD after shipping but not sure about import taxes and such.
