You can download the Alpha from the above link and check out the Kickstarter too. We could do with any and all support you can offer, whether that be by funding us directly or sharing it absolutely everywhere, this games future rests in the hands of you!

 

Upon completing the Demo it will launch a feedback form, so if you could be kind enough to fill that out, It would REALLY HELP us understand our audience and target platforms alot more accurately.

Hey Guys, 
My friend and I are currently working on our first Indie title called Stowaway, Its set on a huge nuclear Ice breaker a drift in the Arctic Ocean. If you would be interested in learning more I will be posting more about the development and progress as the weeks go on. 

 

 

 
Game Description

  • You will explore the large metal bowls of this damaged vessel, using all the resources you can to survive. With limited power and the fuses blown the ships lights and CCTV systems are mostly non-operational, so you will have to rely on your lighter and flashlight for the most part. However some of the Cameras and lights are running on backup power so your PoD (Portable Observation Device) will come in useful, It will allow you to get glimpses at some of the other areas on the ship, maybe even some useful items, but will help you navigate if you ever get lost. Be sure to use to keep an eye out for some of the tormented souls wandering this dead vessel, who knows what happened to these people.. Who knows what will happen to you...

About Us

Stowaway is an Indie Horror game built with Unreal Engine 4 currently about to reach its alpha stages just before the halloween season. 
We are currently looking for people with a variety of rigs ( More power the better ) to play and leave feedback on the Alpha

We have LAUNCHED the KICKSTARTER so we could do with any support you guys can offer. 
If your not interested in horror that's fine, but your friends might be. :)

I've put a few screenshots down below that link back to the full gallery, as well as our old teaser trailer video. 
Please bare in mind this is PRE-ALPHA footage and in no way represents our final product,

just a slice of potential to show you what we can do in a short amoutn of time with a 2 man team.

Is this against CoC? Wasn't there a dev log with a similar idea posted here a while back? Like alpha signups etc, this post could just use some tweaking, no need for deletion imho :)

I am sorry if my post is against C&C I had no idea, I was merely setting up to make more of a blog, the heading is just usual format on other developer websites, 
I would like to show you guys some more of the development side, without spoiling too much of the game. 
If you would like to see more please let me know 

Id be more than happy to go into detail about how we create some things if you guys would be interested in seeing that, 
We have just had trouble finding the right audience, but you all seem very responsive and pleasant here.

Sept 23rd: Recently we have been making some progress with our project making the level more playable.
we added a few more props that you guys might be interested in seeing, these are just props and assets, 
But it gives you a little insight into the works behind game development.

Hey guys, 

Glad to see the post is still live, thought id update you with some of our new progress so far. We are currently really close to release, we have some of main mechanics implemented and have begun testing the games FPS on our rigs and creating launchers and executables, which may sound standard but is quite a serious step for us as we begin to prepare our game for public testing and feedback, so hopefully you guys can understand that the content we created is all Alpha and placeholder mostly, we have plans to drastically increase and improve the Texture quality and model density but those require time and don't directly benefit immersion, however our focus has been to create atmosphere and tension to create a great horror experience.

So far, the screenys look amazing!

I'm pretty sure most people here will back that up! :)

I would be more than grateful to have that kind of support,

We would only need 1,500~ or so people to buy a copy of the game to reach the sort of goals we would need to create this as an enjoyable 3/4 hour experience, the more we get the longer we can work/make the game.

Either way, Its saturday so heres a new Screenshot to share with you guys, nothing too special just a nice atmospheric and ambient shot, demonstrating how the game has improved lighting wise, as we improve our knowledge of the Engine.

This is still the game in "Preview" lighting conditions and very low (128px or less) shadow maps,

Once the game and lighting conditions are finalized they will be exponentially higher resolution and more accurate in shape and definition!

Ill definitely download the alpha and back accordingly. From the video its seems like almost a sure thing though. 

EDIT: Also, to lessen traffic you should create a torrent. Ill seed if you ever do.

We are glad you think it looks impressive, we are still struggling to find our market audience so the game isn't as well received as it could be.

We will look into that, As a short term fix I added some mirrors to other sites to help spread out the traffic.

It seems there was an issue with the download during one of our spikes in attention,
