apogee XL LGA 2011 installation help

Hi,

 

Has anyone installed this waterblock on a 2011 motherboard? I'm finding it difficult to pull out the lga 1155 screws that need to be switched out. The instructions seem to just say pull but I can't seem to get them out and i'm afraid i'll damage if I pull too hard.
