artifacting...again....

spwath

I just got my hd7850 direct cu back from RMA for artifacting last week, and is doing it again. What should I do? Do you think amazon will let me return it after 9 months? I would rather not get the same thing again...

This happened to me a few times.

If you're sure it's faulty, contact manufacturer and voice your disappointment of their inability to properly quality check their replacement product before sending it back to you and demand that they replace their RMA (try demanding a r9 270, which is the equivalent rebrand) and ask for EXPEDITED PREPAID SHIPPING BOTH WAYS.

Nope

If it's running at stock clocks settings and you still see artifacts then the card is clearly defective, I would definitely recommend you send it back again, I think they should take it back because the card is still defective and they didn't fix the issue.

the r7 265 is actually the hd 7850 rebrand. the  r9 270 is the 7870 and the r9 270x is the 7870 ghz edition.

Hopefully it isn't your motherboard somehow. Bad PCI lane.... It is probably the card though.Good luck!

Hows this look to send to them?

I got my HD 7850 back from RMA LAST WEEK. It is STILL artifacting. I need it to be fixed. I NEED a R9 270x to replace it, and for asus to pay shipping both ways. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I WILL NOT pay to have it shipped back again. FIX THIS!

I am VERY disappointed. I thought asus was reliable and trustworthy. I guess I am Wrong.

Exaggeration will not get you anywhere. Also the 270x is equivalent to the 7870 which is better so I doubt they'll give it to you. See if you can get them on the phone or on chat or something and explain the situation to them.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Man, You are unlucky. Have you tried changing the clock? You might be able to fix the artifacting if you are lucky for a change.

What PSU/Motherboard are you using?

Could be a bad PCI lane or low quallity PSU feeding bad power to the card.

My gpu was running at stock speeds and I experienced game crashes, try lowering your clock speed by 50 mhz see if that works before returning the card?
