Cooler Master Storm Trooper Water Cooling an i7 4690K to ridiculous sppeds

Hello everyone, I'm totally new to water cooling but I heard it's very good so I decided to water cool my i7 4690K to ridiculous speeds (over 4,5 GHz). So the main issue at hand is:

I'll get the Cooler Master Storm Trooper case so if you could recommend me a great water cooling system that would work with that case. I'll only use it to cool my CPU because I'll get the GTX 980 STIX by ASUS. Now could you please also explain how it'll go into the case and what else I need to use the water cooling. If you need anything feel free to ask me here :D

It's not guaranteed that you will even get close to 4.5GHz...

Ah...the old days when you could push a 2500k even to 5GHz

Oh, I heard you could but I guess not. Doesn't matter I just need some good CPU water cooling anyway :D Disregard the 4,5 GHz  >-<

First off, there's no guarantee that the CPU willl actually do 4.5+

With that out of the way, I presume you're asking about pre-done liquid cooling units, not custom ones. Also most of the pre-done units are *mostly the same*

To install one, they work like case fans, they mount to the holes for the fans, the bolts that come with it will screw through the fans, and into the radiator

Sorry if this didn't make sense, I'm tired, but I'd be happy to clarify any bits I left a bit vague :S

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

The 4690k is an i5. If you want an AIO, you case seems to support 240mm rads, the Thermaltake Water 3.0 extreme I have is easy to mount, performs excellently, and does not have the mounting issues of the H100i.

Also, OC'ing does not come down to cooling entirely, it really depends on the silicon lottery. Some chips won't go past 4.2ish other will go up to 3.8 whilst staying below 1.3v.

Edit: For example, my 4770k was stable at 4.6 with 1.25v I could probably get it to ~4.8 with 1.3v however, it's not worth burning the chip out with voltage so, I dropped it to 4.5 with 1.2v.

So if I got this right you still use the fans but you put the radiator underneath?

You just screw the rad into the normal fan mounts on the case and mount some fans behind the rad.

Yes, but they would usually come with fans for radiators, the ones that will come with the case are for airflow, and aren't as good as pushing air through radiator fins

THERMALTAKE cpu water cooler WATER 3.0 PERFORMER

THERMALTAKE cpu water cooler WATER 3.0 PRO

COOLER MASTER Nepton 140XL CPU Water Cooler

COOLER MASTER Nepton 280L CPU Water Cooler

Cooler Master Eisberg 120L Prestige Water Cooler

Antec water cooling H2O 650

Out of those, the Antec 1250 is the biggest radiator that will fit. So I'd suggest it. It also has dual pumps so, if one fails it will still run just fine.

Where would it fit? It's a little large as I've seen it. BTW my motherboard is the ASUS Maximus VII Hero :D

It should fit just fine in the top. I don't think there will be any clearance issues.
