SATA 2 ports dont work

Vecet

Hello guys i have a gigabyte ga-p67a-ud3 motherboard, recently i was instaling my new ssd so i plugged one of my previous hdd on the SATA 2 to open space for the ssd on the SATA 3 port but it didnt work. After some testing i discover that none of my SATA 2 ports detecting any hardware be it a dvd drive or a hd. Can someone help me? As an aditional information i`m using AHCI on the bios.

You can check the bios and search for a feature that control the sata controller, maybe there's a setting for that.

You can also try to update the bios, maybe that will fix it.

If it doesn't i'm afraid it's dead...

EDIT: disable the usb3.0 turbo thingy, it's possible it does weird stuff.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

idk every BIOS is different

just look for something called sata controller or something similar and switch it to enabled.
