Lg g3 vs iPhone 6

Go to solution Solved by UltraNeonGaming,

the g3 is definitely future proof compared to the iphone. but i'm wondering if that will matter. i'll only have the phone for 1 or 2 years. (2 years tops)

Yes it will matter a lot apple has been using 1 gig of ram since the iphone 5, thats when andorid phones had been using 2 gigs (GALAXY S3!!!)

The ram is very important because developers can better take advantage of it and make amazing applications

Hi! i'm looking for some help in deciding between the iphone 6 (not plus model) and the lg g3. this is what i do on a phone. call and text (not too often), music listening with headphones, so sound quality is an important factor. light social networking like: sending a tweet or checking facebook every now and then. note, i'm NOT a mobile gamer. i would like to know which of the phones are best in the following categories: quick and simple unlocking and smooth os.  i'm also happy to know how the phone handles in one hand, how it feels to use, and the overall "experience" of holding/ using the phone.

thanks for you time! :)

I am loving my iPhone 6, it feels so much nicer in my hand than my iPhone 5, its supper fast and slick, and the new display is GORGEOUS

one of, if not the best smartphone camera, simple easy to use OS too, and arguably the strongest app store

Sure, its not great if you enjoy tinkering, customizing and that sort of thing, but if you wanta  phone to call, text, listen to music, play games etc etc then the iphone is a great choice

LG G3 has much bigger screen than the non plus iPhone 6, 5.5inch (Same as iPhone 6 Plus but at a much higher res) and the iPhone being 4.7, Both are great phones, Go with which ever phone you like both are great phones

Yes, but you see your mistake here. as smooth on the flagship device. Ios, is smooth, just smooth. even on older phone or device, which is not the case of other Androids devices. I speak by experience.

You where using a Android phone with a skin, i'm guessing, they are wayyyy not as smooth as ones without a skin or with a light skin.

LG G3, the OS is smooth and there is a lot of customization options.  Unlike iOS, which is locked pretty tightly

Just go with a iPhone for a simple phone user like you it's good. Im also guessing you choose the iPhone 6 because the 6 plus is too big? Well the G3 is about the same size with the same size screen but a smaller bezel so it's a bit smaller than the iphone 6 plus

I'd have to say go iPhone 6. It's a more complete package. With Android you have to download a lot of the apps to really make it complete, especially if you go with a Nexus device.

Apple has a lot of the software built in.

Since you won't really be taxing the phone too much, the smaller battery won't be that much of an issue.

The 6+ is massive compared to the G3. It's as big as phones that have 6"+ screens on Android.

The G3 is much closer to the size of the smaller iPhone.

I have no idea what is a skin. I am using the HTC Desire 300. But for my first Android experience, it fails so bad

A skin is put on top of the OS for example on HTC and Samsung devices they add extra features and make the phone look different to pure vanilla android

manafactures put the own skin or design over android that usually makes it perform worse or lag a little

Yep, I thought mrmiffrantranz was coming from some other phone, he said above after that he is using a S3 with a ROM so I said go with the G3 (I'm a Galaxy S4 user since day 1 waiting for snapdragon 810 flagships next year)

Since you're an Android user going to iOS will make you feel like the phone is locked down, so go with the G3 it's awesome, not that iPhone is bad but for you the G3 is the best option
