asrock z97 extreme 3 vs gigabyte GA z97mx gaming 5

what's better i know the gigabyte one is a micro atx but its about the same price as the extreme 3 they both support 2 way sli and can hold up to 32gb of ram with 4 dimm slots so whats better?

Depends on what you need really

just an all around good motherboard that will last atleast 3 years i will be doing gaming, editing, and i might overclock so those are the ones that i know that i want for a motherboard atm

ASRock is always cheaper than the competitors, although in my personal experience, I can't tell a difference between an ASRock board and an ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI one in terms of quality. They probably invest less in marketing and therefore are able to sell their products at a lower price.
