RAM Compatibility?

Hi,

I am looking at some new DDR 3 ram for my system and I have come across some ram that is of a fairly high speed (to my knowledge) and I am wanting to know if it would be compatible?

I have looked in my motherboards information booklet thingo and it has a list of compatible ram in it's speeds.

Now, my motherboard is around 2-3 years old now, do if the ram is newer than that, will that mean its compatible with my motherboard even though it isn't listed in the booklet?

My motherboard: ASUS P8 H77-M

Ram I am looking at:

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.

That now brings up another question, seeing as my motherboard booklet shows 2400mhz ram, does that mean that my board can have a maximum speed of 2400mhz? Or is it just for the ram that is listed compatible?

It means that DDR3 memory from it's lowest possible speed up to 2400MHz is supported. (ie: 1066, 1333, 1866, etc.)
