GTX 960 coming soon?

im waiting to see how the 960 looks performance wise as well. currently have a 760...so a 960 gonna have to look pretty promising or i will be snagging a second 760 for SLI

i think that any upgrade from one x60 to another x60 only 1 gen up is not worth it., same as a 780 to 980 is nlt wuite worth it. You woild be better off to wait a series or save more

You get another 23fps when moving from 780 to 980 in BF4 so yes it's worth it. the difference between pixel perfect 60fps fluid animation and dips below 60fps.

youre skipping over my point, you said youre not getting 60fps in a game that hasnt come out yet... you have no way to prove that. maybe its gonna run as ez as csgo.

No I am saying the GTX 970 wont get 60fps min in every game out today let alone GTA V which is coming out in the future and has even higher fidelity graphics. Stop trying to troll me when you know i am right and you agree.

I wish it were that easy. Fact is even if we had 980 we would not be playing GTA V perfectly. Will it be playable on our cards fuck ya but it will not be perfect kinda like a really hot chick with sloppy snatch.

Also I am going to bring graphics card pricing down to 99c for the top end cards and $1.20 for the Ultra editions that will offer 1 Billion framerates @ infinite resolution.

Well we can hope and dream but reality is nvidia is fucking boss right now. This coming from an AMD Radeon fanboy but above all else price/performance fanboy. I would have shit all over the GTX 9xx series if they were priced as nvidia normally does. Logic dictates that nvidia did an outstanding job on the 9xx cards and I am not feeling bad to give them a full hearted recommendation over the AMD R9 series just based on price/performance alone even disregarding the other great benefits of Maxwell.

Is it best to purchase a gtx 970 right now or wait a little bit for the gtx 960? I am planning to play on a single 1080p monitor with hopefully settings set to high or ultra. Do you think the gtx 960 will be comparable to the gtx 770 in terms of  performance with better power efficiency and other features included in the Maxwell architecture?

I would grab a 970 now as it performs better than a 770 but is priced as a 7604gb, the 970 is really good value but you never know the 960 maybe even better value for the price.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

X8 + X8 is fine for two 760s

I'm quite sure it'd be bottlenecked by a 2.0 x8 ..
