Would a Displayport to HDMI cable work?

currently i have a 780ti but i think in the future im going to get another for 5760x1080 gaming but the monitors i have are hdmi and dvi only so i have 3 screen but 780ti only have 2 hdmi ports but i need to plug another screen in so would a displayport to hdmi work to one of the monitors? please help.

Yes, but it needs to be an active DisplayPort to HDMI cable.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

Why would it need to be active?

I'm pretty sure even with Nvidia cards for a third monitor you need an active DP adapter. It doesn't hurt if you don't and still get one though.
