Dual Radiator vs Single Radiator AIO cooler

Go to solution Solved by scaryjam823,

oh. Well it takes 2 120mm fan mounts so that was what i meant

Either case go with the h100i, better cooling and well worth the money.

Hi im building my first PC in May next year and im going to overclock the i7 4790k(my first time overclocking) but i can't decide whether i should go for single radiator(corsair h80i) or dual radiator(corsiar h100i). Is dual radiator overkill and is single radiator enough? Single would also allow for some more exhaust fans but i can't decide.

EDIT: I meant 240mm vs 120mm radiators

Specs: Pre-built   CPU: Intel Core i5 2320   Cooler: Stock   GPU: GTX 760

Um the h100i isn't a dual radiator?

It's dual 120 (240mm) so you could see it as a dual rad

Dual rad is more than one radiator, it is just a 240mm rad. The size is bigger, it is not multiple radiators.

It made a 20 degree difference between my hyper 212 evo, it's that much better. If you can't afford a custom loop it gives you the satisfaction of a custom loop without the cost. I don't regret the purchase except the corsair link software is buggy as can be, it's a pos. Just set everything up once and forget about the software, it isn't worth using regularly.

would an average user ever benefit from Corsair link?

Well you use it to set the blocks led and use custom fan curves or use the default ones. It's good to use to set the color to match your theme then set the fan curve to quite or performance. I found the difference between quite and performance to not be that great (5c) wasn't worth the extra noise.

Basically that's all it is good for, your initial setup with the leds and fan curve. Find what you like, set it and forget about it.
