[help] How to choose my All-in-one Water Cooling System

Go to solution Solved by Feronix,

I like Corsair too. but they aren't AM3+ compatible, are they? as per their website they're not...AM3 only

http://www.corsair.com/en-ca/cpu-coolers/hydro-series

Anything AM3 is also compatible with AM3+ :)

Hello everyone,

I'm browsing newegg All-in-one water cooling system and I was asking myself a few question.

I'm looking at single 120mm fan system to fit in my Cooler Master Elite 430 Black. Must be AM3+ compatible.

What spec should I look for? What is your favorite brand? Why?

Thank you for your time ladies and gents.

Probably Corsair for their excellent RMA services in case something is wrong with it.

I'm actually using the Thermaltake water pro 2.0

and it's a very good one i think

a little bit noisy when at full speed but really effective cooling solution

hope this helps :)

Will you be able to use two 120mm fans in push-pool configuration on one single 120mm radiator ?

if yes, I think you should consider this for better cooling !

Push/pull really doesn't make that much difference, especially on rads this thin.

Yes, there is already a 120mm fan where I want to install the radiator. that is a great idea my friend! thank you!

yes but it depends on what kind of radiator he will be using

I say that because my one is something like 6cm  thick

in this case a push-pull configuration is preferable !

but you need to have enough place in your chassis (considering that a fan is about 25mm thick)

But he's talking about AIOs and judging from his case/CPU platform he's not going to drop 80 dollars on an H80i so it will probably end up being a 25mm (2.5CM) thick radiator and the Corsair ones actually come with very decent fans these days :)

you're right

but if he doesn't want to drop 80 dollars on a cooling, why would he take a AIO water-cooling ?

A radiator that thick would cover half my mobo and the cpu!!

Indeed H80i looks huge compare to the H60.

since you bring up the money factor, how much should I spend on a good AIO? That seems like a good deal.

I don't really know but for the price of a 120mm AIO you can get a really good air-cooling !

The corsair h60 is a great choice

but for less than 80 dollars I would take this :

yeh I've heard nothing but good comments about Noctua. But those fans. That brown and beige setup makes me cringe.

The air cooling I was looking up recently is the Phantek. Comments are good, and it would looks great in my black and blue setup. you know, just for the look...

Pretty sure that would not fit in your case anyway.
