DP Ports + Multiple Monitor ROG Swift + 2-Way SLI GTX 980 Question

ZeferiniX

After reading articles about the GTX 980, it seems like this card supports 3 display ports which gets rid of multiple GPUs that supports only 1 DP each for multiple G-Sync monitors. Since I'm planning to SLI 2 GTX 980, how should I connect the display ports?

3 Display ports at one card? or distribute it like 2 DP on 1 card and 1 on the other? Are there even benefits if I distributed the ports?

all monitors connections should go out the same card.

Uhh I've seen a youtube vid where there are 3 ROG Swifts and each connected at 1DP/GPU on a 3-Way SLI GTX 780 Ti

with nvidia surround you can connect monitors to more then one card, without it they must all be on the lead gpu or sli disabled

Not sure what videos your watching, but all the monitors should be connected to the same card
