Rights holders move to block Australian access to US Netflix

As Australia prepares for the long-rumoured arrival of Netflix, rights holders are pushing to have the US version of the service blocked in Australia.

Currently, more than a quarter of Australians with a paid-content media subscription are using Netflix, circumventing the geoblock on the US-based service by using a VPN. However, the head of the Australian Home Entertainment Distributors Association said rights holders are looking to bring this to an end when Netflix launches a dedicated Australian service.

 

Well this kinda suck. Altough i dont use US Netflix very often as i used few years back, that kinda sucks for the people who dosent have that much content in their local Netflix as in US

I honestly HATE, these bloody international "borders" for Online content.

So many thing I want to watch online, that I'm paying for; yet I can't because it's only for people of certain areas. They honestly just encourage piracy from the majority of people after this crap.

Yeah, popcorn time was nice while it was out, pretty fast and secretly streams movies until you shut down the computer so you won't need to worry much about the seeds.
