ath-m50 to dt770?

i have a ath-m50 right now.

 

black Friday is around the corner, so i was wondering if buying a dt770 would be a upgrade from the m50 or should i just keep my money?

It's 250ohm BTW. Also OP, it's definitely an upgrade in my opinion. But it's not as big of a jump from as it is from a Razer headset to your m50s for example.

It's slightly better, I wouldn't really consider it an upgrade, maybe more of a sidegrade.

I agree with SSL, The ATH M50's are no 'better' but also no 'worse' the the DT770. If you're not entirely satisfied with you're M50's then maybe you should see what else there is on sale during Black Friday. Alternatively just wait and save up for something more, for example the HD8 DJ's. =)

They are pretty much on the same level, I'd stick with the ATH-M50s. Great cans.

Won't the DT 770s have much louder high treble? If you're treble sensitive you might want to take that into consideration.

I've got the m50 and the dt770. I'd suggest getting an open backed headphone first instead of a slight change with the 770
