Thermistor Cable Configuration Help

Have you used thermistor cables in your rig/s? I have three which came bundled with my Sabertooth and am thinking of installing then to take advantage of AI suite to control my fans, and to get a better idea of my case flow. They give readings which can be monitored right? If you have experience with these can you share?

Thermal probes? I used ones which came with case but have since removed them. The only interesting was one I had on top of HDD near intake. Others were useless for me.
