First Time RMA with Nvidia.

Raudi_

Well guys I had to submit a RMA request yesterday for my GTX 770 its unfortunately dying. Thank god for Nvidia being so helpful and is helping me and giving me an Advance RMA so my system has very little down time.

They reached out to me on twitter to try and help me solve my issue and they came up to the conclusion that my video card is dying. So I received a DM from their Customer Care Page on Twitter asking for me to send them my email so I did and little did I know they were setting me up with an Advance RMA so I'm not gonna be down until the replacement is sent to me.This is honestly hands down the absolute best customer Support I have had to date. 10/10 would recommend if you can get an Nvidia Branded Card.

But here is the difference they got a hold of me before I even got a hold of them. All I did was Post on twitter that my video card was having display issues and bam they were helping me in about 2 mins of just posting on twitter that I was having issues.

Wait, you didn't even tag them? That's pretty cool. Mind linking the tweet that you sent out?

Wut...

Please do explain

Nevermind, I thought OP had an EVGA card and Nvidia CS was replacing it for him for some reason.

Plus, EVGA exclusively sells Nvidia-based video cards, which led me to think that.

I dunno man. My brain no worky today. Ask @ThyFeared

Thats what I found strange myself. But I can't complain with the quick support from them.

They probably search on twitter for "Nvidia" and see what comes up.

Yes, but this is a paid marketing and PR campaign.

You can clearly see this by the fact that he's shoveling this information off to support and that... well they have a designated Twitter account for customer care.

It's a win/win, but it's still odd that they would bother with someone that isn't really bringing the ruckus, so to speak, since that's not completely fulfilling the purpose of why that team probably exists.

I guess they had time to meet lower priority targets.

Stay on the good side that way you don't have to fight your way back to it?

Meanwhile @ Nvidia HQ:

engineer #1: "soo.. what we gonna do with that Nvidia Grid thingy?"

engineer #2: "I dunno... Make it scan all the big social media sites, and route anything matching all of these keywords to customer support?"

engineer #1 & #2:  :D

no not really, they do things like this assuming that the person would talk about it and market Nvidia for them.

as such OP did exactly that, but there's no way they'd assume he'd bring it here unless they figured something out by skimming his twitter account.

they acted on something I don't know and that he only has 34 followers (low anticipated audience)

the only possibilities I can imagine here are 1) The team is massive 2) they looked at his followers and determined them to have overlapping interests with his issue 3) we've went beyond quota

because I'm sure there's at tons of more people than OP having issues with Nvidia cards who might mention it on twitter and have 100+ followers. Even more odd they found him without tagging, surely they could just be crawling twitter for hits, but that still doesn't explain the above.

I also noticed David has the AMD logo in the bottom right of his twitter picture.

Good ol' Green vs. Red + awesome customer service?

Nice.

lol, I didn't even see that.

might be another reason.

If it wasn't for them helping me with my GTX 770 they would have permanently lost a customer.
