Logitech's NEW G910 & Arx Control

XTankSlayerX

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/rgb-gaming-keyboard-g910

It seems Logitech has gone the way that Razer went. Making their own switches. That's going to be very interesting to see, hopefully they'll make a Cherry MX Brown equivalent.

They've (Of course) made it a mechanical RGB Keyboard. Not too sure why we didn't have these WAYYY Before (We have stuff...Cant think of anything atm) Considering RGB keyboards were a thing.

ece4c43ebb.jpg

Other Features:

ARX Control Integration (More on that below)

9 programmable buttons, The location of the ones above the F1 keys are... interesting to say the least.

Dedicated media Controls

113 Key Anti-Ghosting

2 Different palm rests (Apparently)

Holy sweet baby Jesus that keyboard looks good... I think the thing that might be making it look ugly is the (Quite frankly) Horrible wrist rest, which you'll be able to change/remove; So there's that

ARX CONTROL

79bb6de0de.jpg

Logitech has joined the party with their own Control and monitoring software (Like Roccat and NZXT Have done)

But this one is going to end up being one of the best ones out there. considering you'll be able to get a 2nd screen (Yeah, that right. This is something like Xbox's Smartglass. Which was an extremely useful feature for the Xbox.)

As shown above, you can have all of your important stats on your second device (A phone or tablet)

Which (For me at least) Is very frkin cool. I always wanted something like this but things like these were rather tricky to setup.

This. This is a fantastic idea. This is great for games that don't have borderless window (Source engine...) or if your an idiot like me and cant remember what you set your macro keys to on your mouse.

All of these things look really good. Cant wait for Linus's review

it seems this is the kind of Keyboard Jusbeurkin Biearger would use. I think it's ugly. Too catchy and look at ME!

I prefer more classic but elegant ones.

I don't really like the look of it...

Also, on a side note, am I the only one who wants the volume wheel and playback buttons on the right side of the keyboard -- So I can easily hit them with my thumb while on the mouse.

Either that or reposition the playback and volume controls on the left side of the keyboard.

looks ugly, why cant they just make a nice sleek keyboard

IMO this thing looks good, the wrist rest just kills the looks though. I hope you can pull that wrist rest off.

Edit: I just realized the top of the keyboard is a dock for you phone, if that actually has a micro usb connector to charge my phone I'm pretty much sold on this thing.

Why are they making mechanical keyboards without Cherry MX switches? Is it that expensive to use them with your products, licensing or something?

It doesn't look that good and I'd rather get the CM Storm Trigger (Z), which is impossible to find for sale but also lacks the volume switch which is pretty useful.

Omron switches, fascinating. 45g with a 1.5mm seems alright, even if we're talking half millimeter improvements over Cherry switches. That's only the actuation though, I'm curious to find the bottomed out depth. I think bottomed out to reset is equally (if not more) important when gaming, and where most mechanical switches show weakness. If it's 4mm like other switches, you're trading reset for actuation. I'm a bit hyped even though it's spec'd like a Cherry Red. If it's a decent switch, I'd like to see it in something not so absurdly gaudy.

Oh god the toilet sounds during the gamer team first looks.

If your designs looks like a mad catz product you're doing something wrong. And limiting your target market to the ages between 10 and 13.

The keycaps look uncomfortable. I'm also really over the boy racer looks in 'gaming' keyboards. If that was a more conventional layout with RGB leds then I'd be more inclined to give it a shot, I guess. *grumpy rabbit noises as he rambles on about the way things used to be*

wtf, they removed the video showing the action of the switch.

Not getting a new keyboard anytime soon, my quickfire xt is good enough.

I love everything except those WASD keys, if they come with replaceable WASD keys to match the other letters it's a sure buy

I want it.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)
