Budget Gaming Build $600ish. Final double-check before ordering.

Hello Everyone!

This is the build I have finally settled on after months of internal debate.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/R4FpD3

I would really appreciate it if ya'll would look it over and provide any suggestions/critiques to make it better or to catch any compatibility mistakes or bottlenecking I might have missed.

Hoping to play BF4 on high to ultra, Skyrim on high to ultra with mods, and pretty much anything else on high to ultra (excluding ridiculous power suckers like Metro or Crysis 3).

Thanks a bunch!

Don't get the kingston V300 SSD. They are pretty bad at the moment. Get ADATA SP900/920, Crucial MX100 or samsung 840 EVO instead. Other than that I would say ditch the SSD to get a stronger GPU and a CPU cooler (212 EVO and R9 280) and get the SSD slightly later.

Should be pretty ok. Did you search for videos on youtube like "battlefield 4 R9 270" etc etc to look for similar benchmarck?

That way you can control if it's fine for Ultra or just bare minimum. Same for the CPU.

Isn't better to have CPU with less cores but more Ghz?? Does it affect the final benchmark??

You won't be running BF4 on ultra, unless you run at like 1024x768. Same for Skyrim.

Your hopes are a bit too high with that rig mate, sorry.

If you were willing to upgrade again in a year or two, you could get a Z97 board with an Intel G3258, and OC it to 4.7GHz, it'll handle most games well enough. Then upgrade to an i5 4690k at a later date. Also, that GPU is a bit lacking, you'd be better off with something like an R9 280/280x.

Finally, that SSD is a bit poo compared to newer products which will cost an extra ~$20 more.

I don't see any RAM in your build mate. Do you already have a couple of sticks?

I probably should have explained my rationale for part selection in my first post so .... here we go: MSI r9 270 is an excellent overclocker as its stock cooler is extreme over kill. Slick overclocked it to the max and never crossed 60C or 50% fan speed. It is also the card used in Jayztwocent's 2nd rig and he was able to achieve high to ultra on BF4 with it.  FX6300: in the words of Logan from Tek Syndicate is an "extreme price for performance bargain," and with newer games leveraging multiple cores it is a much better investment going forward than the G3258 or an i3 dual or quad (at least to me, it is $100 after all). @eX.Drunk, I did forget the ram! I am going to get a dual channel 8gb set clocked at 1600mhz from a reputable company (cheapest I can get).

Thanks for the tip on the ssd I will definitely spring for something better and possibly a better cooler for the cpu but I don't think this Gigabyte board is too great for OC'ing so that might be irrelevant.
