760 SLI vs GTX 980

Currently I have a gtx 760 and I am looking to get some more performance, I don't know whether to get a second gtx 760 and sli them or to buy a gtx 980.... Seeing that dual 760s sit right in between the 780 and 780 ti in performance and the 980 is supposed to be right at that performance as well, I'm just not sure which to go for... I have a good enough power supply and it will cost me about 360 for another 760 because I will need an sli ready motherboard but if I sold my current 760 for around $175 and bought a 980 that I would assume to be around $550, it would cost me 375 and I would save on power, any opinions are welcome except AMD, I understand they have better price to performance but I can't stand their drivers and the AMD catalyst junk

980 will be the best but just saying AMD's and Nvidia's drivers and software are the same exact shit...

The 980 would most likely be the better option, but remember, day 1 drivers and things like that are always garbage. Most likely the 980 wont be optimized in a lot of games for quite a while so be prepared for that. It will still chew up most things and spit out amazing graphics.

Welcome to the forum! :)

I suggest waiting for the GTX 980, and buy that one when it launches. You can also sell your 760 when the 900 series comes out and get a 980 or whatever fits your budget/needs best :)
