Encryption program for ios

Hi, I'm new in the mac world and I was wondering if there is any good encryption programs out there (not Filevault). I'm looking for a truecrypt replacement, as in being able to make a small or big file that's an encrypted volume.

You said iOS but do you mean for OSX?
