Update 18.09.2014: It still makes creaking noises. And they are accusing me of giving them the wrong Error description. I took a picture of it. I can prove you wrong. Holy cow, I am super pissed! 

 

Old Post: So I send in my Sony Z2 because it is making creaking noises. I don't have it back yet, but I got the following test results.

I am no Expert, but these look like measurement of the Antenna. What in the world does this has to do with the body of the phone making noises. By the way, the guy on the phone was a bit rude.

Well if the phone is fully functional and all components work 100% then they do not have to do anything

Warranty does not cover cosmetic issues, creaking could be considered cosmetic, and its possible all of the Z2s creak as per design

 

EDIT: just 10 seconds online and there are tons of reports of creaks,

I even gave detailed description where the sounds seem to be coming from. I am trying to contact Sony right now.

If your warranty laws are like they are in the UK do not bother contacting the manufactuerer

 

Just take it into store, they can sort you much easier than contacting the retailer, as here in the UK the retailer is responsible (I think Germany is the same), they can either send it for repair, or issue a replacement depending on the policy

Technically I can already get my money back, because I would need to send it in. They have 2 repair tries. If it doesn't work than I can step back from the "contract".

ich bin auf den Artikel gestoßen, weil ich mal das Gerät aus dem "Messbericht sehen wollte" -hatte meins auch gerade in der Reparatur wegen des Displays. Ich geh daher davon aus, dass die den Test als Standard machen, um zu gewährleisten, dass die Antenne nach dem Zusammenbau sicher sitzt.  :rolleyes:

Ich hatte da angerufen und gefragt, warum das getestet wurde, da ich das Handy wegen knirschen eingeschickt habe. Der am Telefon war sehr unfreundlich und hat mir nicht wirklich zugehört. Dann har der die ganze Zeit was von Verbindungsprobleme erzählt. 

Die Vorgeschichte, Ich hatte das 1. Sony, bei welchem die Lautstärke Taste geknirscht hat. 2 Wochen nach kauf eingeschickt. Dann nach einer Woche kam ein neues Z2, welches ein überall knirscht. Nun was das 2 Wochen in Reparatur. Und ich stehe ohne Handy da. Ich bin echt gespannt ob das noch immer knirscht. Vielleicht wurde es ja doch repariert und der am Telefon hatte einfach kein Plan. Hast du auch ein Z2 und knirscht dieses?

Ich hab "nur" ein normales Z und da knirscht nichts. BTW ist knirschen ein echt verwirrendes Wort. Erzeugt deine Lautstärketaste beim Wippen Geräusche oder sind das Geräusche, die vom Kopfhörerausgang/Lautsprecher ausgehen?

die Lautstärke wippe war locker und wenn man mit dem Finger darüber gegangen ist gab es ein ganz doofes Geräusch. Wieso war das "normale Z" in reparatur?

Ich musste mein Handy ja zeitweise mit der normalen PC-Tastatur und Maus bedienen, weil die Eingabe über den Bildschirm nicht ging und ich mein Zeuch sichern musste.....ABER mit so einem lustigen USB-Adapter macht das auch mal Spaß.
