That offered no support and the desk was very flimsy, I added small piece which where okay, but I cut those then added these:

Test fitted the wood an its a little off so I added some pieces on the corner to stabilize

have you considered height adjustable table frame/base?

Considering this desk is well over $200, I haven't really thought about it, although I could just slide on a smaller pipe into the bottom and bolt it if I needed the extra height. But no, I don't really have plans for adjustable height.

I see.

It is just I sit for very long everyday and now I really feel the need to use my computer while standing once every hour or two. I wished I would have seen this when I made my giant table.

100th post! haha just saw that and thought Id post it together, as for progress I've bolted the frame together and will drill the holes for the desk to be screwed down on, and then I stain the wood and I'm DONE :D

I would have made the corner piece diagonal. I mean the wood grain. It would connect the 2 big pieces together more nicely maybe. I know It would result in more waste.

Yeah, that probably couldve been done, I like the way it looks when you put the other piece on it, make the table look really really big xD

Thanks guys :)

THE BIG ONE

Part 1: Staining

As the title says, I stained the project. I went with a natural stain because I love the lighter look. I would've preferred an even lighter tone/bleach but This color is just fine!

Part 2:

Then the lacquer was applied, I went with 3 coats of a satin finish

This is while it's still wet

Part 3:

Afterward I took the desk home, and set it up! Due to the nature of it's design the 4' Part has to be the homework side because I can't change it for the 5'. (The small "L" par is the 4' table not against the wall)

Overall Im Happy with the result! the corner is exactly flush and some of the legs are bent but thats just nitpicking!

Next update will be RGB lights around it.

Any other suggestions I should do with it/my setup?

Very nice!

I have huge respect for people that build their own stuff!

I think people should give things a go more often, well done.

Thanks man! :)
