PC won't turn on with graphics card plugged in

tweakxx

I have an asus p8z77 lx mobo, an old evga sc 660 ti and evga supernova 750w g2.

I thought it was a mobo problem when it won't turn on but when I started to take the pieces off, I found out that PC won't boot with the gpu plugged in, does anyone know why?

Also, I'm about to install an evga 770 sc acx card and I'm worried I might get the same behavior.

did you plug the power cables into the graphics card?
