Incoming New Challenger !

Unilision

So if the community is up for it, or wants to kindly help me out that would be awesome.

I'm attempting to build a new Gaming PC, but for the past few weeks after researching, looking constantly around to see what would be best, I have yet to make my decision.

Generally I'm planning to get all the parts sometime November to December due to my city's computer shop gets sales around that time and I wish to know what I want by than.

The challenge is to make a list of an entire computer build and make me love it <3

I'm currently unclear about the ToS in here, but if it isn't a problem, I'll give the winner something?

Objective: I want my computer to be lasting for the next 5 years, aside from the duration of it's life, I want it to be able to run any game that comes out, at the moment it's Destiny & League of Legends that I only play until I find better Mmorpgs. I also wish to use it for class in the future, as I'm planning to en-roll in programming, in which case I would need a strong PC, & I will be using heavy graphic software, such as Master cam. Which requires high Ram & Strong Graphics.

The conditions:

1. MUST be using NZXT 530/630 Case.

2. MUST be capable of using a 21:9 34" Monitor (LG or something whatever that has been released)

3. Budget is up to $3000.00 CAD, however in such case, I'm willing to go up to $4'000.00 CAD.

4. The cheaper the better but If price is high but difference in performance is a drastic change than I'm willing to spend more.

5. (Optional) Make it a nice White & Red or Black & Blue theme.

Here is so far what I have had in mind but still unclear if I should consider this or not yet. Tell me your opinion !

Of course, if I have left any other necessary information, just post below and I will provide it.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($339.93 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($94.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($120.00 @ Amazon)

Do not worry about Peripherals, as I am placing that in a different budget.
Good luck everyone ! Thank you as well if you took the time to read all of this !

The only change i'd make in your build is the storage. I'd just get big SSDs, and no HDD. You'll have a little less storage overall, but it'll all be blazing fast.

Also maybe get a "Nicer" motherboard, but that's kind of subjective

Edit: Also exactly which NZXT cases do you want to use, the phantoms?

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

for once, There's a build in which I wouldn't really change anything.

Also, thank you for providing background information, the purpose of the build, and a budget.

most newcomers will come hare and say something along the lines of "guys my mom is letting me build a PC what do I get" and then insist on something like 32gb of ram for a gaming rig

Save a couple hundred on that 295 and get one of the cheaper one's, they're all the same.

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..

Thank you, I appreciate the Whalecum, and my bad, I forgot to mention, yes you are correct, NZXT Phantom 530/630 & What Motherboard do you think would be a better one?

Oh is that so? Not a problem, I just can't seem to make a decision sadly, so I've been making multiple builds the 3 things I'm most conflicted with is, Motherboard, Graphics & SSD.

What would you recommend?

Sapphire - Gigabyte - MSI - XFX - whichever you can find for the cheapest with a decent warranty, they really are all the same card only difference is the sticker.

the motherboard is fine. it's the best value gaming board IMO

the graphics are the best IMO

After looking around on PCpartpicker, I made a couple changes which will improve the PC. like a Better SSD, HDD, CPU cooler and better value, faster memory

I changed the r9 295x2 to a less expensive version and upped the PSU to 850w so you have some room for potential upgrades.

Came up with some little improvements, that turned out to be maybe a little expensive

SSD master race

But seriously, if you want to cut down on costs, just get a single 500gb SSD and then a 1TB WD black if you think you need it.

Thanks for what you believe is best ! Also It isn't a problem in price, but do you all believe that even after the release of the new "900 Series" from Nvidia, the R9 295x2 will still outperform them ?

I'm not so sure. 295x2 is a pretty great graphics card, seeing as it's two fully fledged GPUs. It'll definitely outperform a 980, regardless of what it brings to the table. And, let's be honest, 1000 dollars for the 295x2 is a seriously great deal

The only thing I was thinking about doing, was adding a R9 290x and making it 3 way GPU (Tri fire?) in case of anything

Eh, if the 295x2 starts getting old on you (Lol, in like 5 years) you might as well just get the latest graphics card. There will be a point in time when it's not worth it to tri-fire 290x's, seeing as thats always a pain in the ass, and by then newer cards will be available as replacement

Also forgot to add in the introduction, is there any place or sites that perhaps sell custom designs that I could use to keep the interior more better looking?

At this point, that's a pretty solid idea. 970 non-reference cards are already in production, and 980 reference are probably only a few months behind

Custom designs as in material to place certain wiring, tubes, etc to make it a certain theme, or type of fans to replace with the NZXT Fan case and etc
