fans for gigabyte hd 7790 2gb OC

narrdarr

the fans on the gigabyte hd 7790 2gb OC are so loud. i want to do something about it.
the gigabyte hd 7790 2gb OC fans has an unique mounting. i think it would be easy to mod a couple of fans to attach the same way that the stock fans do.
the questions are:
which fans to use?(the stock fans are 100mm and are 2 wire.)
can the fan connector on the card handle a fan splitter cable?

Use MSI Afterburner to set a different fan profile to YOUR liking.

Set it to spin up only to a certain percentage @ your set temp.

If its loud, knock it down 5-10% across the board.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

i've seen this before and i really don't want to be glueing stuff together.

edit: just realized that wouldn't work even if i wanted to do it.

i already use afterburner

yea knocking it down to 5-10% across the board would definitely work, but then again the card would be really really hot. i run the card 1200/1600 and when it gets to hot it crashes. so its needs to stay cool. so thats not going to work
