LAN Backbone Revision

So I decided to augment my LAN with the addition of a a few bits of new kit:

  • Synology DS1513+ NAS: x5 3TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM + iSCSI for VM storage for the Hypervisor
  • Asus RT-AC68U Router
  • Netgear GS724T-400EUS Switch: Link agregation

What do you think?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

Looks okay to me.. I wonder though how do your VMs perform off of the Synology? I would have gone with a local SSD or two for VM images.

Yes it's a concern but with the number and size of them I can no longer really choose SSD based storage as a viable option. Perhaps I could add an SSD cache at some point in the future. 7200 rpm drives in RAID 10 though, maybe won't be so bad?
