PC not recognizing the wired connection from the router

Knots

Hello! I tried connecting my router to my PC, but the computer won't recognize it.

My mother is an MSI Z77-GD65

There is also a blink yellow light next to the connected port, I looked it up in the manual and it said

Yellow-(flashing)- This computer is communicating with another computer on the network

it's not

Yellow-(steady)- Lan Link is established

 Green- 100m/sec data rate

The connection isn't showing up in my Networks section of the control panel either, only the wireless connection from the router is showing up.

If anybody can help, I'd greatly appreciate , thank you

i think i know why is that happening (I THINK)............its because u don't have any suitable LAN driver to use the LAN connection.......your MOBO has a LAN card but to use that LAN card, a LAN Driver is to be installed..... the LAN driver is MotherBoard specific and it comes in a CD provided with the MOBO........

Sorry what? Most people don't try things until they hear if from multiple sources.. I'm not sure of you question.
