$1500 Budget Gaming Build

Hey all! So I'm planning on building this $1500 gaming computer, and it'll be my first ever computer to build. I got help from some of the community out on YouTube from one of Linus' videos and here's the link to the parts they helped me out with:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3Zw8P6

I'm also planning to buy all the parts on Cyber Monday and I'm sorta in this dilemma where I want to stick with these parts or wait until mid November because of the newer computer part models coming out real soon and that the parts might even get cheaper for better parts than the one in the build I picked out from PC Part Picker. I'm also planning this to be my all-around computer - gaming, video editing, Photoshop. For gaming, I hope to play real good games that actually put your parts to work like Battlefield 4. So what do you guys think? Advice, suggestions, thoughts? Please help a newbie out!

Sup guys and thanks for the replies, never realized it'd be so quick lol. So I'm in San Francisco and I'm planning to use this 1440p monitor.

Edit: Is 128GB SSD enough for just the boot/OS?

Personally I'd go go for the 780, 780ti,  or 780 6gb instead if I were in your position.

There's a 6GB version now?! And why not the R9 290?

There is! My problem is the GPU kicks out more heat and uses more power to achieve the similar results. It's like when you're at the gym and you see people slapping 2 45s on each side but they have to use their back and they don't even go down all the way.

I'd like to be clear, this is MY PROBLEM with the current AMD solutions. I'm not saying it's bad, I just disagree. :)

What do you think? Found a 4GB GTX 770 that still fits within the budget!

You might as well get an overclocking chip, it's like 20 more dollars, it's almost a waste at that point, unless you lower your motherboard price. Seriously, in some games you can get huge fps boosts (there's quite a bit) and it will  be easier to sell down the road. If you keep it, it will keep up longer.

Especially if you're on a budget, one way to shop for parts is to think of it as an investment. For the amount of money you put in, do you get what you need out of it now? What about 3 years later? What if you need to get rid of it? What if you're stuck with it?

Another tip, for however long you plan on keeping it, calculate how much you're spending for the intended amount of time. For example" $3000 machine for 3 years = $1000 a year.

Happy building! :)

Im aiming for something that will never be over clocked, though Tikonux may very well want to over clock his own, so your right if you plan to over clock then spending the extra 20 may be what you want to do.

I would just wait for the 970, if you're using it as a place holder, the 770 is a pretty good card.

I also read somewhere that the 970 is less power hungry? Hell, why not anyways, it's a newer model and about the same price or even less than the 770, right?

Lol, I don't think I'm gonna overclock mines anyway. Maybe in the future.

Oh and I'm gonna probably bump this thread a week or two before or around the week of Thanksgiving because I'll need some help from everyone to finalize picking out PC parts with me!
