New laptop this Friday Suggestions please.

Alucardseres

Hello this is Javier and one of my first posts.

So I have been looking into laptops for some time. I have been working and saving up so I can get a good gaming laptop. Something that can play games at the very least at Medium settings.

So I ask of this community if you could please suggest me some good gaming laptops for about 900 ish dollars. Go ahead and post refubished PC's from Amazon, NCIX, Newegg, Ebay.

What I am really looking for

4th core i5 or i7 Quad core if possible.

3rd Gen i7

the best possible mobile graphics card I can get for the money.

SSD is possible but I know for this price range its hard to get something for that price range.

That's really about it. I am looking into some as we speak but I would love your input as a community . I have seen some Asus ROG's refubed on Ebay and those are cool cause who doesn't want a back lit keyboard :3.

Also a Lenovo y50 is something I want but I have yet to find one for under 1000, but it looks really good. Well that is all. Community let me hear what you have to say .

MSI GE gaming series laptops and/or the Razer Blade.  Asus has some good RoG laptops but it is based on how much you like big bulky beasts

Me? a girl? psh, don't be silly, everyone knows girls don't use computers

That's not too bad at all, but does the Dual core over the Quad core matter ? Well for games and such .

only time you are going dual core is if you are going an i3 (Don't even try gaming on it, it blows monkey dick. trust me) i5 should do perfectly fine though.  an i7 is really if for people who do content creation or people who show off they have money or both

if u want an i7 and a powerful GPU

900$ wont cut it

the Lenovo Y50 will set you back around 1000$

an i5 variant is around 900$

Yeah I thought as much, just wanted to get as much as possible but thank you for the input! I have yet to see a y50 with an i5 for 900 if you do let me know.

This is true, you're right. Would an i5 still be good for programming ? I plan on doing some programming on that machine that I am going to buy .

thats gonna be one hot noisy laptop :P

notebookcheck gives vague performance data but it should be much faster than a 770

around 60% faster i would say

how much did u find it for ?

what cpu does it use ?

first

also i would say that im 80% sure  that AMD still doesnt allow you to update your notebook Drivers from its website and only from the  manufacturers website which is rarely updated u will be stuck with an old driver if thats the case
