Basically, i have been getting quite a few crashes as of late.
I know alot of people have been having issues with this card, and i have to underclock it in order to avoid artifacts.
But every time i load up MSI Afterburner, i have a 25/75% chance of freezing up.
It happens almost all of the time if i have a video playing, or even paused, and when it happens it isnt a traditional BSOD ( It freezes on the current frame, and makes a jarring sound) 

I have also seen solid blue crashes, and solid red crashes.
The most recent one was a solid blue....

I have tried so many different versions of gpu drivers. With and without CCC, With only one card at a time switching cards around, there is a small overclock but it still does this even at stock clocks.

Now a few of these are going to be me finding the sweetspot of my overclock,  just ignore the ones that are ntoskrnl.exe

I have been through several installs, several driver sets, different bios settings, i have swapped cards, lanes, ram, and hard drives/ssds to no end, and it persists.

I am fairly certain that this is an issue with my gpus, as other have issues with it as well.
But i want to know if there are any other alternatives to try, before an RMA?

I might take the whole system to work today, and stress test it with different parts, different loads, and different overclocks but that depends on how i feel (i am currently feeling like shit so)
 

 

What do you guys think?

 

 

EDIT: This can happen at any time.
The last time it happened it was while playing titanfall and watching a video on the windows 8 crackle app, and the time before that it happened while i was watching a youtube video, and the time before that i was doing nothing....

No idea what's causing it, but from looking at your gaming rig system spec's in your sig, that PSU isn't powerful enough for dual crossfire.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Really? Okay, i was going to upgrade my PSU to a modular one soon anyway. That will be the next step then...

I was sure 500 watts was enough, but maybe not.

I am getting an R9 290X soon anyway, so i will just go for a high end 1000 watt PSU...

Probably don't need 1000w, especially for a single card, but I would recommend a 850w (at least 750 minimum). I would run that info by someone else though, I am by no means an expert, am only going off of what I've seen other people say about PSU's.

 

Definitely a Seasonic as well. I've got their 750 and it's never made a peep. Also really nice packaging.

Hmmm. I'll look into it.

I originally wanted to get an 850, but when i purchased my second gpu, i picked up this one for about 45 bucks (Staff discount).

It was by all means temporary.
