Looking to get a new Video Card but....

Hey guys,

 

So I'm looking to upgrade my video card, and at the moment I'm running a dual monitor setup both 1920 x 1080 monitors. 

However I was looking to get another one which is 2560 x 1080, I want to run all three of them but only game on the 2560 x 1080 monitor, the rest of the time it will be used for web design and Photoshop work.

My budget for the card is under $400 (but I do live in Australia), and I was looking at an R9 280 at the moment, but I'm not sure if it will be able to support it.

So any recommendation would be great.

A R9 280x is the lowest card i would recommend for higher than 1080p, not sure what prices are in aussey land but i think a R9 290 is your best bet.

Agh, if you could go $30AU higher you could get an R9 290. Other than that I would get a 280X for that resolution.

Then a 280x would be fine, but still 290 is your best option,.

One more question.

 

I was just looking up prices, I can get a:

 

Gigabyte R9 280X OC 3GB for $317.05

or

Gigabyte R9 290 4GB for $389.3

 

Which is best value?
