Opinions on my first build?

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ctodalen/saved/GVWJ7P

So I'm new to this whole computer building game and I'm just curious what you guys think of my first build.

[Edit for more detailed info]

This build is supposed to be ~$1000 and is a gaming/ light video editing/ adobe CS6 image editing machine with the red and black color scheme in mind.

I'm not really all that picky about performance of the cooler as much as I am with aesthetics so I'm going with the Kraken which I'm told has a configurable LED on the heatsink. I am probably going to do some light overclocking on the computer to get some extra oomph for gaming.

Toss the liquid cooler, get a 212 evo. Change your GPU to an r9 280x/290, get a better PSU like a seasonic one or EVGA g2 series

Looks good, Though I suggest a 600w psu for future upgrades, a corsair h100i cpu cooler, and a samsung 840 evo ssd.

It's good but I would change the cooler for the H100i which will perform much better, but everything else is good.

If you're overclocking you might want to get a better power supply.
I'd try and get at least a 250gb SSD. They're not a whole lot more.

I'd go with a 280x or 285, a 290 if you can stretch it.

I'd say if its you're first build, don't go with the 212 Evo, just because from personal experience I had an extremely difficult time installing it. And i'd bump up the GPU and PSU. Go for a seasonic or corsair, they make reliable power supplies with varying wattages. And for the gpu, with nvidia id suggest the 770 4Gb, since most modern games seem to be requiring over two gigs to handle the texture resolutions, and for AMD id suggest the r9 290. It just seems the best bang for the buck with them. Hope the suggestions helped

At least get this:

Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($124.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($65.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 280X 3GB DirectCU II Video Card  ($309.99 @ Amazon)

Total: $1102.82

You can replace the CPU cooler if you want, but get the 4690k as it overclocks better. Also get at least an R9-280x as it has better performance than a 760.
