24" 3D Monitor for surround

Dredgy

Hi all, just saw Avatar and I'm thinking this 3D thing is pretty kewl! :P

Okay so what I need is a good 3D monitor that is 24". I will be running 3 of these (one will be my primary display), other two to the sides, usually for work, but may be used for light surround gaming. Also for 3D blu ray watching. 3D video editing also happens whenever I get the chance to use a production 3D camera.

Since the only thing I can find that fits the bill (the BenQ XL2420TX) doesn't seem to exist anymore (If you can find a place that sells this and ships to Australia please let me know) I was wondering what would be the most efficient way to do this? I want inbuilt emitters and glasses (else I have to buy 3x 3DVIsion Kits [or do I?]) but if that's not an option I want the most cost effective way to get Nvidia 3D Vision 2 Surround. Pivot is a huge plus, but not a must have, as I will simply get monitor stands.

Hope you guys have some insights :)

Thanks alot

Asus 248QE

Running around 450 (In Aus)

lmao that's ridiculous I can buy them for $215

Also, $150+ for each monitor to get a 3DVision kit. But at $379 that's not too bad, $529 for each monitor makes it only marginally more expensive than Asus' 27" .

How do those 3D kits work, do they plug in by USB or HDMI or what?

Thanks for the suggestion :)

I'm confused why you want 3D kits, all you need are the Geforce Glasses.

The glasses charge through USB if thats what you're talking about, and you dont need 3 pairs of them

@SovietOnion - Can you verify that? According to Asus' website, I need a full kit, such as this one: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=19968&cPath=959

Link doesnt work what's the product name

Disregard

Yeah those are the glasses, not a full mod kit, you just need the glasses and the transmitter it comes with.

So you will need 3x Asus 248QE and one Nvidia 3D Glasses kit

Why did you think you would need 3 pairs of glasses lmao

Because the kit doesn't just include the glasses, it includes a 3D emitter, which as far as I can tell you need one for each monitor (especially if not using surround). I will do some more research into it though.
