Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

Apple does really make good laptops... i figured out that a similarly specced windows laptop costs just as much as a mac...

I've looked into the air, and as nice as it is, I'm going to be doing a production course a about a year and a half from now, so it wouldn't make sense to pick one up. And neither does the mac book pro. Special for special, the 15" pro with dedicated graphics comes in more expensive then the aorus x3, and given I'd put windows on it anyway, not worth it imo. It's not a bad machine though

IMHO, Apple's trackpad sucks. :P

Apple trackpads are hands down the best there is IMO. The OSX support for trackpads is way better than windows, system wide smooth/responsive scrolling. Windows has horrific trackpad support (especially when it comes to scrolling).

Nice review. I was going to try and get a cheap and used 11" air to use while the new Macbook Pros come out. My sister is waiting for a hand me down laptop next year either way :P

Good review, I've been thinking about getting this notebook but the display has been holding me back. There are rumours of a fanless, retina display MBA in the works but who knows if/when that will be released.
